AI Adoption Consultancy
Find the highest-ROI AI opportunities in your business.
An Augustova AI adoption audit is a fixed scope review, priced at £2,500 to £6,000 and delivered in one to two weeks, that identifies where AI will genuinely pay back in your operation and produces a written roadmap, an ROI model and a prioritised backlog you keep whether or not you build with us.
Not every problem needs AI. We audit your operations, identify where AI will genuinely move the needle, and build a roadmap from proof-of-concept to production, with honest timelines and budgets.

What this covers
How it runs
What you receive
- ✓A written report on how your operation actually runs, not how the org chart says it does
- ✓Opportunities ranked by return, each with an indicative price and timeline
- ✓An ROI model per opportunity, with the assumptions visible so you can argue with them
- ✓A prioritised backlog specific enough to build from
- ✓A recommendation on what to do first, and what to leave alone
- ✓The document itself, yours to take to any supplier including one that is not us
What this does not include
- ✗A slide deck that describes possibilities without prices
- ✗A recommendation to build something because we would like to build it
- ✗Implementation, which is quoted separately once the scope exists
Signs this is the right call
You have a budget for AI and no agreed first project
A supplier has quoted and you have no way to sanity check the number
Several teams are each experimenting and nobody is comparing results
Where projects like this go wrong
Strategy with no price attached
A roadmap without numbers cannot be approved or refused. Every opportunity in the report carries an indicative cost, a timeline and the payback assumption, so the decision can actually be made in the room.
Auditing the process nobody uses
Documented procedure and daily reality diverge, usually quietly. We interview the people doing the work rather than the people who own the diagram, which is where the expensive habits turn up.
The answer is always yes
An adviser paid to find AI opportunities will find them. If the honest recommendation is to fix a process, buy something off the shelf or do nothing this year, that is what the report says.
How the audit runs, week by week
Week one starts with a 30-minute call to hear the problem in your words, then interviews with the people doing the work rather than only the people describing it. In parallel we audit the data you already hold: what exists, what state it is in, what it can safely be used for and what it must never be fed into a public model. By the end of the week you see the opportunity map, ranked by return rather than by novelty, so nothing in the final report is a surprise.
Week two is the numbers. Each opportunity gets an ROI model with the assumptions visible, an indicative price and timeline, and the running cost per month once it is live, which is the figure most proposals leave out. The written report and roadmap arrive with a walkthrough for the decision-makers and a plain recommendation, including the option of doing nothing yet. If there is a build worth doing, it comes with a fixed-price quote and the audit fee is credited against it in full.
What the UK market charges, and where this sits
Published UK prices for AI consultancy in 2026 cluster into a readiness audit at roughly £1,500 to £5,000, advisory day rates of £900 to £1,600 at mid-sized firms and £2,000 to £5,000 a day at the largest, and first implementations from £12,000 upward. The measured contract market is cheaper than any of them, with a median AI consultant day rate of £575. Our audit is £2,500 to £6,000 fixed, which is inside the published band, and we do not sell days at all: a day rate pays a supplier for being slow.
The honest comparison is not price but what you hold at the end. A day-rate engagement leaves notes. A large-firm engagement leaves a deck. This leaves a roadmap, an ROI model, a backlog and a quote, written to be built by anyone, and it is yours whether or not you build with us.
| Engagement | Typical UK market | Augustova, fixed |
|---|---|---|
| AI readiness audit | £1,500 to £5,000 | £2,500 to £6,000, credited against a build |
| Advisory day rate | £900 to £1,600; £2,000 to £5,000 at the largest firms | Not sold |
| First implementation | £12,000 to £40,000 | £4,000 to £15,000 |
| Minimum project | Often £25,000 at larger firms | None |

What the report covers that a strategy deck does not
Three things. First, cost to run: every recommended feature carries a monthly running-cost estimate built from the volume of messages, calls and model requests it would generate, because the model is rarely the expensive part and the channels around it usually are. Second, a UK GDPR position per use case: the data involved, the provider, the region, the lawful basis and whether a DPIA is needed, so your adviser can sign it off rather than start again. Third, a written no where a no is the answer. Plenty of problems are better solved with ordinary software, a process change or a paid ChatGPT or Claude subscription with three rules, and a report that has never said so is not being straight with you.
Who this is for, and who should not buy it
Owner-managed and mid-sized businesses of roughly ten to two hundred staff: recruitment agencies, care providers, accountancy practices, law firms, clinics, agencies and trades, with a process that has outgrown the spreadsheet and a director who has been quoted for AI and cannot tell whether the number is reasonable. Also any firm where several teams are experimenting separately and nobody is comparing results.
If you have fewer than ten staff and no repetitive, rule-based work that costs real hours, do not buy this. Give the team a paid ChatGPT or Claude workspace, adopt the one-page policy from our guides, and see what they do with it for a month. That advice is free and it is the right advice for many businesses.
Common questions
What is an AI readiness or adoption audit?
A fixed scope review of how your operation actually runs. It covers stakeholder interviews, a data audit, a map of the opportunities ranked by return, and a roadmap from proof of concept to production, delivered as a written document rather than a presentation.
What do we actually receive at the end?
A written report and roadmap, an ROI model for each opportunity, a prioritised backlog, and a recommendation on what to do first. It is yours to keep and to take to any supplier, including one that is not us.
Can you tell us what our existing AI features cost to run?
Yes, and this is the part most firms cannot do. We instrument cost down to the individual request, attributed to a customer, a feature and a model, then set spending ceilings that have been watched actually firing in production rather than assumed to work.
How is this different from a strategy deck?
A deck describes what could be done. This produces a scope specific enough to build from, with prices and timelines attached. If the answer is that nothing is worth building yet, that is a valid outcome and it is written down plainly.
