[ Pricing ]

Our prices, in full, before you have to ask.

Every Augustova engagement is a fixed price agreed in writing before anything is built: an AI audit £2,500 to £6,000, a first agent or implementation £4,000 to £15,000, a custom AI system £8,000 to £25,000, bespoke software £8,000 to £30,000, team training from £1,200. No day rates, no minimums, the code and accounts in your name from day one, and the running cost stated before go-live. All prices exclude VAT.

Advice and training

Start here if you do not yet know what to build, or whether to build anything. Both end in something you keep.

AI adoption audit

£2,500 to £6,000
One to two weeks end to end · Fixed scope audit with a written report and roadmap

Interviews, a data audit, an opportunity map ranked by return, an ROI model with running costs included, and a written roadmap. Credited in full against any build that follows.

Best for

Knowing where to start, or checking that a plan already made is the right one

Not included
  • A slide deck that describes possibilities without prices
  • A recommendation to build something because we would like to build it

AI training for your team

£1,200 to £6,000
Delivered within three weeks of booking · Half day, full day, or a multi day programme

Hands-on sessions on the tools your team already has, and a written policy on what may and may not go into them. Often the whole answer for a firm under twenty people.

Best for

A team that keeps hearing about AI and has not been shown how to use it

Not included
  • A recorded course sold as a workshop
  • Certification that means nothing to an employer

AI agents and automation

The ladder most agencies quote in pieces. Each rung is a fixed price against a written scope, with the running cost stated before go-live.

One agent or workflow, in production

£4,000 to £15,000
One to three weeks · Scoped against your existing stack after a short review

A prototype or a first use case taken to production: integrated with the systems you run, tested on real inputs, with a person in the loop where money or compliance is at stake.

Best for

Something that works on a laptop and needs to work for customers

Not included
  • Rebuilding a prototype that should be replaced rather than promoted, which we say plainly
  • Taking ownership of a system we are not allowed to change

A custom AI system

£8,000 to £25,000
Two to four weeks to a working system · Fixed price, agreed in writing before anything is built

Several agents sharing data and hand-offs, built, deployed and instrumented, with cost ceilings triggered once on purpose before you rely on them. Owned by you from day one.

Best for

A specific, expensive manual process that should be software

Not included
  • Training a model from scratch when an existing one does the job for a fraction of the cost
  • Data cleaning at a scale that should be its own project, which we scope and price separately

Software and websites

Bespoke software priced by what it is, not by how long we say it will take. Code and accounts in your name from day one.

An application

£8,000 to £30,000
Two to six weeks depending on surface area · Fixed price per phase, so the budget never drifts

From a single process automated properly to a multi-user platform with mobile apps. The range is wide because scope is wide; the quote is not.

Best for

A product that needs to exist properly, on web and mobile

Not included
  • A design system built from nothing when your brand already has one
  • Ongoing content entry, which is your team knowing your business rather than ours guessing

A website that has to sell or book

£4,000 to £16,000
Two to five weeks depending on page count and integrations · Fixed price per phase, hosting and domain in your own accounts

Fast, editable without us, with a clear enquiry or booking path and the measurement to prove it works.

Best for

A website that has to sell, book or explain rather than just exist

Not included
  • Stock photography libraries and generic illustration, which we would rather not put on your site
  • Monthly SEO retainers, which are a different service sold by different firms

03The code, the repositories, the provider accounts and the credentials in your name from day one

What we do not sell, and why

Day rates

A day rate pays a supplier for being slow and penalises them for being fast, and it moves the estimating risk onto you. The measured UK contract median for an AI consultant is £575 a day; consultancies quote £900 to £1,600. Neither tells you what the work costs. A fixed price does.

Minimum engagements

Larger firms will not look at a project under £25,000 to £100,000. Most of the businesses we work with have a first problem worth £4,000 to £15,000, and that is where we start.

Retainers you cannot leave

Support is a separate, clearly priced monthly line agreed at go-live. Because you own the accounts and hold the runbook, you can stop paying it and keep the system.

Hidden running costs

Every quote for anything that uses AI states what it will cost per month at your volume, including messages, minutes and platform fees, because that is where budgets fail.

What moves a quote within its range

Six things decide where a project lands inside the bands above. If a quote from anyone, including us, cannot explain its number in these terms, the number is not real yet.

01

How many types of user

One user type is simple. Three, each seeing different data with different permissions, is more than three times the work.

02

How many systems it has to talk to

Integration is usually the largest single line and the one most often underestimated. It starts first because it is the long pole.

03

How messy the inputs are

Clean fields cost less than scanned PDFs, voicemails and free-text forms. The messy tenth example teaches more than the ten clean ones.

04

Whether it runs unattended

Background work that must not fail quietly needs retries, alerting and a person-in-the-loop design. A button somebody presses does not.

05

Whether it needs to be a real app

Native iOS and Android, submitted to the stores, is its own small project and is scoped as one.

06

How much is already written down

Undocumented processes are discovered during the build, and discovery is the expensive way to find requirements. An audit is the cheap way.

Common questions about our prices

How much does AI cost in the UK for a small business?

A first automation or agent is £4,000 to £15,000 to build and typically £50 to £250 a month to run. An audit to decide what to build first is £2,500 to £6,000, credited against the build. Published UK ranges for the same work run from £800 to £5,000 for a simple workflow to £20,000 to £50,000 for a multi-system programme.

Why fixed price rather than a day rate?

Because a day rate transfers the estimating risk to the party least able to judge it, and pays the supplier for being slow. A fixed price forces the scope conversation before money is committed, which is the conversation that decides whether a project succeeds. The catch is a written list of exclusions, which protects you more than it protects us.

What is not included in a fixed price?

Each quote carries its own list, but three things are never included silently: training a model from scratch when an existing one will do, data cleaning at a scale that should be its own project, and a guarantee of accuracy we have not measured on your data first. Those are scoped and priced separately, in writing.

Do you charge for the first call?

No. A 30-minute call with a founder is free and ends with a straight answer: an audit, a fixed quote, or an honest reason not to build anything yet.

Is the audit fee credited against the build?

Yes, in full, if you go ahead with us within the roadmap. If you take the roadmap to another supplier, it is yours to take.

What does it cost to run afterwards?

Stated in the quote, per month, at your volume. The model is usually the smallest line; messages, minutes and platform fees are the ones that scale. We run the same agents in our own products and pay the same per-message and per-minute prices you will.

Do you offer monthly retainers?

Yes, as a separate line agreed at go-live for monitoring, fixes and a named person. Published UK retainers run £350 to £2,000 a month; ours is priced to the system, and you can stop it and keep everything.

Can R&D tax relief reduce the cost?

Sometimes. Under the merged scheme the credit is 20 per cent of qualifying spend, about 15 per cent net, and loss-making R&D-intensive SMEs can claim up to 27 per cent. We structure the scope so your accountant can assess a claim; we do not give tax advice.

How do your prices compare with the market?

Inside the published UK bands for audits and systems, and below them for a first implementation. The two cost guides linked on this page show every published UK price we could find, dated, so you can check.

Are prices inclusive of VAT?

No. Every price on this site excludes VAT, which is the convention across UK business services and the way every competitor in our surveys quotes.

Want a number for your project?

Describe what happens today and roughly when you need it changed. A founder replies personally, usually within one working day, with a fixed price and a written scope, or an honest reason not to build it.
