Software for accountancy practices, aimed at the chasing.

Augustova builds custom software and AI automation for UK accountancy and bookkeeping practices, covering client onboarding, document collection and chasing, deadline management and management reporting. The target is almost always the chasing, because it consumes the most hours and produces the least value.

01

The work that eats the practice

Ask any practice where the hours go and the answer is rarely the accounting. It is onboarding a new client, collecting documents that arrive late and incomplete, chasing the ones that never arrive, and answering the same status question from four clients a day.

None of that is chargeable in the way the actual work is, and all of it scales linearly with the client list. That is why practices hit a ceiling that has nothing to do with technical capacity.

02

What we build for practices

01Client onboarding that collects what is needed and chases what is missing without anyone remembering to
02Document classification, so receipts and statements arriving by email land in the right place
03Deadline tracking with escalating reminders that fire before the deadline rather than after
04A client facing status view, which removes most of the where are we calls
05Management accounts packs that assemble themselves monthly
06Quote calculators and engagement letters, for practices still pricing by phone

03

Busy season is the real test

Everything works in July. The system that matters is the one that holds in January, when volume triples and the practice would otherwise take on temporary staff to do work that is entirely rules based.

That is also the easiest business case to make, because the cost of the alternative is a number the partners already know.

Common questions

Do you replace our practice management software?

Usually not. Most practices have software that handles compliance adequately and does nothing about chasing, onboarding and client communication. Building around it is faster and less disruptive than replacing it.

What is the single highest return thing to automate?

Document collection and chasing, almost every time. It is high volume, entirely rules based, consumes senior time that should be chargeable, and the improvement is visible within the first month.

Will this work with our existing accounting tools?

Yes. This work is mostly integration rather than replacement, joining the tools you already pay for so nobody has to rekey between them.

How is client data protected?

A written data processing agreement is signed before any personal data moves, and we are registered with the Information Commissioner under reference ZC152144. Systems sit on your own provider accounts wherever possible.

Talk about where the hours go

Tell us what your team chases every week and how many clients it covers. The maths on that is usually persuasive on its own.
