Who wrote this, and how

Augustova is an AI consultancy in Fitzrovia, and it is one of the twelve firms on this page. We wrote it because buyers keep asking us who else to talk to, and because most "best AI consultancies" lists are written by a firm that puts itself first. This one does not rank anyone. Firms are grouped by the kind of buyer they say they serve, and every fact about them comes from their own website or from Companies House, read on 10 October 2026 and linked at the foot of each section.

We picked firms that come up when people in London search for AI consultants or ask an AI assistant for one: the Google map results, Google’s AI answers and ChatGPT’s recommendations, checked in early October 2026. We have no commercial relationship with any of the others. If a fact here is out of date, email us and we will correct it.

The twelve, side by side

Prices are as published by each firm, excluding VAT unless stated. "Not published" means we could not find a price on the firm’s own pages, not that it is expensive.

"Best for" is our one-line summary of what each firm says about itself on its own pages. It is not a ranking, and the order of the table is not one either.

Large organisations and regulated programmes

Faculty has worked with large organisations since 2014 across defence, health, financial services and public services, and publishes case studies such as the forecasting tools it built for the NHS during the pandemic. It does not publish prices. Brainpool says it has been shipping custom AI since 2017, delivers on its own platform, Cortex, and shows clients including Fujitsu, NVIDIA and Sainsbury’s on its homepage. Its homepage says costs are quoted per project.

If your project needs security clearance, a large team or a multi-year programme, start here. If you are a twenty-person business, these firms are probably not built for you.

Mid-market firms that want a build team

Fifty One Degrees describes itself as an AI consultancy that builds rather than advises, for businesses with £5m to £250m turnover. It says a proof of concept typically costs under £15,000 and lists Claude implementation packages from £25,000 to £70,000. It states OpenAI Select and Claude Services Partner status, and publishes a case study with Heatable.

Softblues works with UK and Irish businesses, with guidance aimed at regulated firms, and covers Claude and Gemini rollouts, automation and voice agents. It quotes per engagement and lists partner status with OpenAI, Google Cloud, Anthropic and Microsoft. Its London address is a registered office; the team is distributed across Europe.

Rolling out Claude or ChatGPT across a team

The AI Consultancy specialises in Claude and says it is certified in the Claude Partner Network. It publishes its prices: a readiness sprint from £3,500, Claude installs from £4,500 for a team and £7,500 for a business, discovery and pilot work from £15,000 and builds from £40,000. It works from Hoxton and Chelmsford. Fifty One Degrees and Softblues also run Claude rollouts at mid-market scale.

Small businesses wanting an audit or a first automation

AI Consultants London publishes audits from £999 and covers Greater London, Surrey and Berkshire. Ronins is a digital agency that offers AI work on a fixed fee from £3,500 alongside web, brand and marketing, with a published case study for CYSIAM. The AI Consultancy’s £3,500 readiness sprint also fits here.

Augustova sits in this group. We start with a fixed-price audit (£2,500 to £6,000, or £495 for a small business quick audit) and then build what it recommends: AI agents and automations from £4,000, custom AI systems from £8,000. We also build and run two products of our own, Onrolo and GoRizzume. We are the wrong choice for large enterprise programmes or model research.

Outreach and front-desk automation on a monthly plan

British AI Consulting sells done-for-you revenue systems on monthly plans: LinkedIn outreach, an AI receptionist, booking and CRM setup. It publishes every package on its homepage, from £750 setup plus £500 a month up to a £12,995 build. A monthly plan suits a business that wants the system run for it rather than handed over.

Founders building an AI product or MVP

Magora has built software since 2010 from Shoreditch and publishes an MVP price from £10,000, with developer rates from £49 an hour; it holds ISO 27001 and ISO 9001. Foundry 5 builds MVPs from £15,000 at a fixed price and says its average MVP takes four weeks. Softgen publishes AI builds from £18,000 and MVPs from £24,000, plus free cost estimators. Augustova builds MVPs at £10,000 to £20,000, fixed.

How to choose

Six questions separate these firms faster than any ranking.

01Advice, build or both? Some firms stop at a roadmap and some only build. Ask who writes the code and who runs it after launch.
02What does the price cover? A "from" figure, a fixed fee and a day rate are different commitments. Ask what is excluded: software licences, AI running costs, VAT.
03Are you the size they serve? A firm built for £300,000 programmes and one built for £3,000 audits are each the wrong choice for the other’s buyer.
04What can you check? Named case studies with figures, partner status you can confirm with the vendor, certificates, a Companies House record.
05Where does the work happen? An office you can visit, a registered address only, or a distributed team. It matters if you want people in the room.
06Who owns it at the end? The code, the accounts and the data, and whether the system runs on the firm’s own platform or yours.

Common questions

How much does an AI consultancy in London cost?

Where firms publish prices, an AI audit costs from about £1,000 to £6,000, with some mid-market audits at £10,000 or more. A first build or proof of concept usually costs £8,000 to £25,000, and Claude rollouts across a business run from about £4,500 to £70,000 depending on scale.

Which London AI consultancies publish their prices?

Of the twelve on this page, The AI Consultancy, Fifty One Degrees, AI Consultants London, Ronins, Augustova, British AI Consulting, Magora, Foundry 5 and Softgen publish prices on their own sites. Faculty, Brainpool and Softblues quote per project.

Which London AI consultancy is best for a small business?

It depends on what you need first, and several firms on this page serve small businesses. For an audit, AI Consultants London publishes audits from £999, Augustova a small-business quick audit at £495 and fuller audits from £2,500, and The AI Consultancy a readiness sprint from £3,500. For AI alongside web and marketing work, Ronins offers fixed-fee AI work from £3,500. Several of these firms both advise and build, including The AI Consultancy, Ronins and Augustova, so you can keep one team from the audit to the first build.

Should a small business hire an AI consultancy?

Only if there is a specific, costly task to fix. Start with a fixed-price audit that names the opportunities and what each would cost to build and run, and make sure the firm can build what it recommends or will hand the plan to someone who can.

Why is Augustova on its own comparison?

Because leaving ourselves off would be odd for a London AI consultancy writing about London AI consultancies. We have described ourselves in the same terms as everyone else, said who we are wrong for, and ranked nobody.
