With the £79 care plan, up to 300 AI minutes a month are included, then 20p a minute. Without it, you pay the voice and phone providers directly at cost; as our own estimate, a business handling about 375 minutes a month pays roughly £40 to £50 all in, including the number and texts.

Everything runs in accounts in your name, so you own it, see the bills and are never locked in. You get a walkthrough video and a one-page runbook. If you stop a care plan, it keeps running and you pay the vendors directly.

Common questions
How much does an AI receptionist cost in the UK?
Self-serve plans run from about £39 to £99 a month on Fasthosts’ published pricing, and done-for-you builds from UK agencies often start around £2,000 setup. Ours is £695 setup plus an optional £79 a month care plan that includes 300 AI minutes.
Do I have to tell callers they are talking to an AI?
We have not found a UK law that specifically requires it, but UK GDPR’s transparency principle makes disclosure the safe default, and the ICO’s AI guidance points the same way. Our greeting always says the caller is speaking to an AI assistant.
Will calls be recorded?
Only if you choose to. Callers are told at the start, and you set how long transcripts and audio are kept. UK GDPR sets no fixed period but requires that personal data is kept no longer than necessary; we suggest 90 days for transcripts and 30 days, or none, for audio.
Can I keep my existing phone number?
Yes. We divert unanswered or busy calls from your current number to the receptionist. If you want a new UK number, the network has to check your business identity and UK address first, which usually adds a few working days.
Can it book appointments into my calendar?
Yes, into one Google or Outlook calendar, with a text confirmation to the caller and a summary to you by email or WhatsApp.
What happens when the AI cannot help?
It transfers the call to your mobile. If you do not pick up, it takes a message and sends it to you straight away.
Is it UK GDPR compliant?
You remain the controller and we act as your processor under a written data processing agreement, as the ICO requires. We set retention, disclosure and privacy notice wording, and list every vendor that processes your data, including any outside the UK.
