AI consultancy in Bahrain, starting with who may see your data.

Augustova is a London AI consultancy and software studio that serves businesses in Manama and across Bahrain remotely. It starts by settling which providers may process your data under Bahrain’s Personal Data Protection Law, then builds the bilingual assistant, automation or software that fits, at a fixed price agreed in writing. The AI Quick Audit starts from BHD 250.

Why a Bahrain project starts with the data question

Every AI assistant or automation sends some data to someone: the model provider, Meta for WhatsApp, a phone carrier, a hosting company. Many of those are outside Bahrain. Under Bahrain’s Personal Data Protection Law, transfers of personal data out of the Kingdom are prohibited unless the destination offers sufficient protection, or another condition applies, such as the Authority’s permission, the person’s consent or a contract that needs it.

That makes the provider list a decision to take first rather than an afterthought. An audit maps each step of the process, names the provider, the data and the country, and flags where your adviser needs to sign off. The build then follows a plan your adviser has already seen.

Where it fits best in Bahrain

These are the businesses with steady, repetitive enquiry and admin work, where the gain shows up within weeks.

Professional and financial services firms

Accountants, corporate service providers, insurance brokers and law firms handle documents and client questions all day. The first need is usually advice: a written policy on what staff may put into AI tools, training on the tools already paid for, and one automation in document-heavy work. A firm regulated by the Central Bank of Bahrain may have outsourcing and data obligations of its own, so its compliance team joins from the first meeting.

Hospitality and food

Restaurants, cafes and hotels take bookings, event enquiries and delivery questions on WhatsApp and the phone, with busy evenings and weekends. The assistant answers from your own information, books into your reservation tool and passes large bookings and complaints to the manager.

Private clinics

Dental, dermatology and physiotherapy clinics answer booking questions in Arabic and English at all hours. The assistant handles the non-clinical ones and books; anything medical goes to your staff, and symptoms and records are kept out of the conversation by design.

Real estate

Developers, brokers and sales agents in Bahrain must hold an authorisation from the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA). Rental and sales enquiries reach agents from portals such as Property Finder Bahrain and by WhatsApp. The assistant qualifies them (area, budget, freehold or rental, timing), offers viewings from the agent’s calendar and passes ready buyers to the licensed agent.

Services and prices in Bahrain, in the order we would suggest

We lead with consultancy in Bahrain because the PDPL starts from a restriction on sending personal data abroad, and almost every AI tool sends some. The AI Quick Audit or the adoption audit settles the provider list before you pay for a build.

The assistant comes second, once the providers are agreed, because hospitality, clinics and property all win or lose the customer in the first reply.

Automation, custom software and care follow.

Data protection in Bahrain

Bahrain’s Personal Data Protection Law is Law No. 30 of 2018, in force since 1 August 2019 and overseen by the Personal Data Protection Authority. Transfers to countries the Authority lists as adequate need no prior authorisation; other transfers need a condition such as the Authority’s permission, the person’s consent or contractual necessity.

We design each deployment around your obligations under the PDPL, and the audit writes down which provider processes which data, in which country, under which condition. We can discuss processing and hosting options before anything is built.

We do not claim to make you compliant. Your adviser decides, with that document in front of them.

Working with us from Manama

Augustova Ltd is a UK company (number 17216706), and we work remotely. There is no Bahrain office, licence or local phone number. Meetings are on video, in English.

Bahrain is on UTC+3 all year and its weekend is Friday and Saturday. Our hours, 09:00 to 17:00 London time on weekdays, are 12:00 to 20:00 in Manama while the UK is on GMT (until 28 March 2027), and 11:00 to 19:00 during British Summer Time. We share Monday to Thursday.

Arabic replies, reminders and staff notes are drafted with you and approved by an Arabic speaker on your side before go-live.

Running costs and honest limits

  • Messages go through your own WhatsApp Business Platform account, billed per message by Meta; each number has 1,000 free service messages a month from 1 October 2026.
  • If a provider cannot be used under the PDPL for your data, the audit says so, and the design changes before it is built.
  • Phone connection depends on your operator and is checked before we quote.
  • You own the accounts and the code. Stop the care plan and the system keeps running.

Common questions from Bahrain

Do you have an office in Bahrain?

No. Augustova is a UK company in London and serves Bahrain businesses remotely over video. There is no Bahrain office, licence or local phone number.

Can our customer data be sent to an AI model outside Bahrain?

Sometimes. The PDPL allows transfers to countries the Authority lists as adequate, or under conditions such as consent or the Authority’s permission. The audit names each provider and country so your adviser can decide; we do not make that call for you.

We are regulated by the Central Bank of Bahrain. Can you work with us?

We can start with consultancy, with your compliance team involved from the first meeting, because a regulated firm may have outsourcing and data obligations of its own. We do not advise on what the Central Bank requires.

Can a RERA-licensed agent use the assistant for listings?

Yes. It discusses only the listings you load, qualifies the enquiry and books the viewing, and every hot lead goes to the licensed agent.

Why start with an audit rather than the assistant?

Because in Bahrain the provider list is the decision most expensive to change later. The Quick Audit is one 90-minute session and a written report; if the answer is to start with the assistant, it says so.
